Note: By default, your domain is set up on BrandShelter NS (BrandShelter Standard or SafeBrands Standard as applicable) with a default zone file when you register it, unless modification or otherwise instructed with the addition of your own client NS (NS set to be created), or creation of your custom zone file.

When creating your NS set, you can add as many DNS servers (primary and secondary) as you wish.

Changes are automatic, and will take effect in all cases after a propagation time (+ TTL value) of 24 to 72 hours following confirmation.

Warning: If you change the DNS servers by replacing the BrandShelter NS (BrandShelter Standard or SafeBrands Standard as applicable) with those of another provider to outsource the DNS management of your domain, you will then be unable to use the redirection services or customised DNS zone management available on your SafeBrands Client Portal.

In case of an outbound transfer:

Automatic deletion after 30 days: After the transfer, the domain remains technically configured on the NS BrandShelter servers for 30 days.

The domain will then continue to resolve using BrandShelter NS during 30 days.

After 30 days the domain is automatically removed from our NS and the attached DNS zone is deleted (automatic deletion on day 30).
