Recovering a Zone File in Case of Problem or Deletion (Rollback)

If you need to reinstall a DNS zone file and haven't made a backup (recommended → Downloading a DNS zone file), you can view your zone history (DNS > History) to show and recover the desired published zone. Alternatively, if it has been deleted, you can view your account logs (Account Settings > Logs) to show the last published zone (right-click > show) and retrieve it in BIND format (copy and paste). Once retrieved, you can then re-import it using our DNS zone import tool. More information on DNS Zone Import.
